Scot Russell, MPT
Scott is the owner of Sport & Rehab Physical Therapy. He and his wife Susanna started the business on March 13, 2001. He graduated from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. He is Mckenzie Spine Certified for levels A through E, and has taken numerous other courses such as Graston Technique Soft Tissue Mobilization, Jones Strain Counterstrain, and Aquatic Therapy. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, Seth. He also likes to play golf when the weather is nice, and during the summer it isn’t out of the ordinary to find he and Susanna out Kayaking on the weekends. A little known fact about Scott is that he grew up speaking a Southern African dialect of Chichewa.
Laythen Young, DPT
Laythen is the newest addition to Sport and Rehab Physical Therapy (aside from Baby Seth). Laythen graduated from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. He specializes in manual therapy aimed at the restoration of joint alignment and movement, and is currently working on his manual therapy certification and a second Doctoral Degree including joint manipulation. In his free time he enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, photography, and being involved in his church.
Jessica Valenzuela
Physical Therapist Aide Jessica has been with Sport and Rehab Physical Therapy since January 2004. She currently resides in Dos Palos with her husband and five children. Jessica is bilingual, and can translate Spanish and some Portuguese. Jessica is a valuable asset to Sport & Rehab Physical Therapy due to her ability to multitask while keeping a cheerful heart. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family.
Erica Escobar, Insurance Coordinator
Erica has worked for Sport and Rehab since April 2005. Erica is one of the first people you’ll come into contact with when setting up your first appointment at Sport & Rehab. As the Insurance Coordinator, she is excellent in explaining benefits to patients and getting authorization in record time for your physical therapy visits. Erica recently married her long time best friend, Johnny Escobar. She has a beautiful 3 year-old daughter that she enjoys spending time with. Her hobbies include dancing and spending time with her family. A little known fact about Erica is that she won a spelling bee when she was 5 years old.
Paula Medeiros, Physical Therapist Aide
Paula has worked for Sport and Rehab Physical Therapy since March of 2005. She resides in Gustine with her husband David. Paula has received a certificate of training as a Physical Therapist Aide from Merrick College, and has prior experience working at a hospital in Tracy. Paula is a valuable asset to Sport & Rehab Physical Therapy due to her ability to multitask and crack a joke or two. She enjoys working out, shopping, eating Japanese food, and laying out in the sunshine. A little known fact about Paula is that she was born in a car.
Adriana Oliveira, Receptionist
Adriana has been working at Sport & Rehab Physical Therapy since June of 2006. She lives in Los Banos with her husband Luis. In her free time she enjoys reading, going to the beach, photography and designing her scrapbook. The thing that she loves most about her job is working with great people and the extra-curricular activities paid for by management. A little known fact about Adriana is that she has an insatiable love for antiques. She is also a self-proclaimed fan of Audrey Hepburn.
Christon Eslinger, Physical Therapist Aide
Christon is a Physical Therapist Assistant who has been with Sport & Rehab Physical Therapy since June of 2005. She has an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy and has certifications related to the continuing education that she has completed. She is Mckenzie Certified in Lumbar Spine part A, and has also completed a course on treating functional instability on the neck and scapula. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, being involved at her church, working out, and playing piano. A little known fact about Christon is that she grew up on a farm / ranch raising buffalo in North Dakota.
